Progress in Process: Landscaping the Library


It’s a bit noisier than average around the library today – with trucks, trailers, and tillers traveling about the eastern exterior.  

The reason for this dissonance, according to Grounds Foreman John Sherrick, is that the land on which the library sits contains a high percentage of clay. Therefore, much sand and peat must be tilled into the existing soil in order to make it a better growing grounds for the daylilies and crepe myrtles he intends to plant over the next several days.
