It’s National Library Week!

Happy Monday! In addition to April being National Poetry Month, it is also the month for National Library Week which began yesterday. The theme for this year’s event is “Communities Thrive @ Your Library.” Have you visited your library lately? Why not stop in today?

Celebrate ALA-APA’s National Library Workers Day

Wednesday, April 14
Celebrate the first annual National Bookmobile Day.    ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom will release the “Top 10 Most Challenged Books of 2009” list (check out the Frequently Challenged Books list here).  Visit the Banned Books Week Web site.

Thursday, April 15
Celebrate YALSA’s Support Teen Literature Day 2010

The month of April is recognized as School Library Month.
