At 11:00 AM this morning, a new stretch of roadway was officially opened. University Parkway, which runs from 101st (New Orleans Street) to 91st (Washington Street) along the eastern boundary of the Northeastern State University’s Broken Arrow Campus is now open to traffic. Cutting the ribbon are Broken Arrow’s Mayor, Mike Lester, and BA Councilwoman Jill Norman. (Dean of the NSU-BA Campus, Dr. Christee Jenlink, is pictured at the far right.) Several other community members and NSU representatives were on hand for the event.
“This road will give our students different access points to NSU-BA,” said Mayor Mike Lester. “As the university continues to grow, this will help meet the traffic needs in that area.”
